BNP Paribas - FICC Patron - moves workers to new office in Dublin
The move will see more than 400 of the BNP's staff housed in one building having previously been located in three locations around Dublin.
European bank BNP Paribas it is moving all of its corporate and institutional banking staff in Ireland to a new flagship office in Sandyford in Dublin.
The move will see more than 400 of the bank's staff housed in one building having previously been located in three locations around the city.
Derek Kehoe, CEO of Head of Country Ireland, BNP Paribas, said the move to the Termini building in Sandyford Business District in South Dublin coincides with a general return to offices after the Covid pandemic and will also propel a cultural shift resulting in a more dynamic operation.
"We believe we are the first in the financial services sector in Ireland to complete the reconfiguration of our real estate footprint and were the first to accommodate the return of all staff to an office setting, albeit a new, more flexible setup," Mr Kehoe said.
"It was important that we took all of the key learnings from the pandemic to support our culture and new ways of working, helping to create a greater work/life balance for our colleagues. It's not an understatement to say that the pandemic has redefined how we operate as an organisation," he added.
The new office has high environmental credentials including building energy consumption of 30% less than a standard building, 64% green roof to promote biodiversity, a rainwater harvesting system and fitted solar panels to offset energy demand.
BNP Paribas has been operating in Ireland for almost 50 years and offers a variety of services including Corporate and Institutional Banking, Securities Services and it also provides international financial services to the wider group internationally.
