Steve Preece is the Chief Executive of Egis Group Ireland.  Egis is a leading global consulting, construction engineering and operating firm with operations in 100 countries and a global workforce of 18,000.

Egis has operated in Ireland for almost 30 years and is the country’s largest independent operator of infrastructure. Their team operates almost 470km of Ireland’s motorways, as well as the Dublin Tunnel, Jack Lynch Tunnel and Limerick Tunnels.

In 2023, Egis acquired leading engineering consultancy JB Barry, bringing the group’s Irish headcount to almost 600. The allied operation now offers clients a full end-to-end service, from upstream design and engineering consultancy, through project commissioning and overseeing construction to asset management and operations.

Egis is active in the design and delivery of transport infrastructure, including intercity, light rail, bus, active travel cycle and greenways all over Ireland.
